Market Street Blooms Opening Reception
May 13, 2011 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Come celebrate our collaboration with the San Francisco Arts Commission in the installation of Karen Cusolito’s ‘Bloom’ sculptures! Join us for this Opening Reception / Kick off party for SFAC’s ARTery program, and enjoy a lively evening full of live entertainment and new works of art.
BRAF proudly announces our collaboration with the San Francisco Arts Commission in the installation of Karen Cusolito’s Market Street Blooms at the U.N. Plaza, from her sculptural series Infinitarium, as part of SFAC’s Art In Storefronts Project (AIS.)
In addition to debuting Cusolito’s installations, Art in Storefronts, now in its second year, returns to Central Market with six storefront installations and five murals. The latest in The ARTery Project’s efforts to revitalize a once-vibrant commercial corridor, the project temporarily places original art installations by San Francisco artists in vacant and under-used storefront windows and exterior walls.
Join BRAF and SFAC for the Market Street Blooms Opening Reception / Kick off Party for The ARTery! Enjoy a lively evening, full of live entertainment and new artworks.
