ScrapEden Workshops

Join Us! Make aluminum can flowers for the 'Garden of Detritus'!

We'll be holding two all-afternoon ScrapEden BRC production workshops (and potluck BBQ) at the BRAF/Burning Man Offices in San Francisco:

Sunday, August 6th

12:00 Noon - 6:00 PM
The focus of this workshop will be aluminum can flowers, scrap flowers and other small plantings for the 'Garden of Detritus'.

Tools and Materials

We will have some materials and tools to share, but if you'd like to work on aluminum can flowers, please bring:

Aluminum Cans	Pliers
Gloves	Wire Cutters
Wire (medium gauge)	Scissors (be warned - cutting the cans is rough on scissors)
Old Garden Hose (if you have it!)

If you have other ideas or projects for ScrapEden BRC that you'd like to work on, please bring them along.

Potluck BBQ

We'll have the BBQ going, so bring something to toss on the grill or another item to share!

Location

* BRAF/Burning Man Offices are located at 1900 3rd Street.

* We'll be meeting in the back of the building (near the roll top door).

* The building has two parking lots. The entrance to the back parking lot is on 16th Street, just west of 3rd Street.

Sunday, August 13th
12:00 Noon - 6:00 PM

We'll continue working on scrap flowers and other kinds of groundcover (see more info above), and also plan to work on an entry gate for the garden made out of reclaimed clear plastic bottles (based on a design concept contributed by David Best who is doing a lot of work in plastics these days). More details will be posted here shortly.
