The Bay Lights Illuminate your Ride
March 7, 2014 @ 7:30 pm
| Cost: FreeOn Friday, March 7, we’ll light up the streets in collaboration with the SF Bicycle Coalition and SF Bike Party, who will host an illuminated bike ride around the city with stops for dancing and merrymaking. The evening will kick off on the Embarcadero at 7:30PM in front of the “Cupid’s Span” bow-and-arrow sculpture by Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen.
First up, we’ll hear from Ben Davis, the visionary behind the Bay Lights concept, and pay tribute to the artist Leo Villareal and the brilliant community that made it possible. At 8PM, volunteers from SF Bike Party will lead the group on a fun and safe ride through the city with stops to dance and socialize along the way. It’ll be a great night to show off your illuminated bike or costume!
